
Dinkelchen and Russian Bread from a traditional company in Saxony
After German reunification in 1991, food technologist Dr. Hartmut Quendt saved the production of the popular Russian bread in his traditional VEB business in Dresden and founded his own baked goods company. Quendt first drove across the country and looked for dealers who were still interested in East German products. The beginning of a pan-German success story of Saxon specialties such as spelt, Christmas Stollen (fruit loaf) and Dominoes.
