Bahlsen Cookies

Delicious Bahlsen cookies and cakes from the family business

Every child in our family knows the name Bahlsen, and the Leibniz butter biscuit has been with us since we were little. Whether the wafer mix, Bahlsen Leibniz Ohne Gleichen in milk or dark chocolate, the ABC Russian bread or the pick-up snack for in between - there is something for everyone in the pastry specialties. We also love the Comtess cakes, which you should always have in the house for surprise visitors. See also: Leibniz.

Bahlsen cookies have accompanied our families since 1889

Bahlsen GmbH & Co. KG is a family business based in Hanover, Germany and looks back on a long history of success. The company was founded in 1889 by Hermann Bahlsen (1859–1919), initially with ten employees. Ten years later there were already 300. Since its founding, at least one family member has always sat on the company's board. The Leibniz butter biscuit has been around since 1891. It was named after the Hanoverian philosopher Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz (1646–1716). The two-brand strategy was created in 2002; Two new logos were developed for the Bahlsen and Leibniz brands. That's why you can also find other products under the Leibniz brand. Since 2020, the cookies and cakes have been manufactured at five locations, in Hanover, Barsinghausen, Varel (Friesland), Berlin, Skawina (Poland) and Jawornik (Poland).
