The cookie makes the difference: Leibniz butter biscuits and pastries
It all started with the original Leibniz butter biscuit. It was developed in 1891 and the Bahlsen brand was named after the Hanoverian philosopher Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz (1646–1716), who in turn is credited with inventing the rusk. Today, the cookies are also available made from oats, spelt, whole grain or cocoa, with and without chocolate in the classic large rectangle, as minis or as Zoo in animal forms.
