Aachener Printen and gingerbread from Kinkartz

Printen are a traditional gingerbread pastry from Aachen that has now been declared a European cultural asset. Only what is produced in Aachen can be called that. Printen are harder than gingerbread and smell of anise, cinnamon, cloves and coriander. The Kinkartz brand has been around since 1872 and is now part of the Lambertz Group, which has an even longer history dating back to 1688.
