Piasten chocolate with a crispy coating
Piasten chocolate beans are crunchy and chocolatey at the same time. The dragee shape was invented in the 1930s by the US manufacturer Forrest Mars in order to obtain chocolate that would not melt in the hand when heated. In Germany, the large chocolate beans from Piasten are particularly popular. The company was founded in Silesia in 1923 and moved to Forchheim (Franconia) after the Second World War. Today it belongs to Katjes.
