Creamy candies, toffees, and now even popcorn – Werther's Original has delighted young and old with its special caramel flavor for generations. In 1909, confectioner Gustav Nebel invented the popular cream candies for the confectionery manufacturer August Oberwelland (now August Storck KG) in the small town Werther in Westphalia.
