Lindt - the Swiss chocolate pioneers
Chocolate and the finest pralines from Lindt & Sprüngli, the Swiss masters of chocolate art. In 1845, David Sprüngli and his son Rudolf produced the first solid chocolate bar in a Zurich pastry shop. In 1879, Rodolphe Lindt in Bern invented the conching process, in which a fine, melting texture is created through constant stirring. In 1899 the families joined forces and made Swiss chocolate world famous.
