Wrigley's is the world's largest chewing gum manufacturer! In 1893, William Wrigley Jr. switched from soap and baking soda to chewing gum. With the launch of sugar-free Wrigley's Extra, dental health became a priority. For the next generation, chicle gum, already known to the Mayans, is coming into play. It comes from the sap of the sapodilla tree and is now used to make EXTRA's new plant-based chewing gum.
